The following is a list of active endowment funds held within the Morden Area Foundation.  All these funds consist of donations, large and small, from a variety of sources – individuals, corporations and foundations.   If you find a fund of interest to you, please contact the Morden Area Foundation office for various ways to donate.  ie  cash, cheque, credit card

General Community Fund

Donations to the fund give the Morden Area Foundation the greatest flexibility to respond to current community needs through the provision of grants to any local CRA registered charity within Morden and area to support local projects in the areas of health, arts and culture, education, community service, or recreation and sport.

Support Fund

Anyone may donate to this fund.  The purpose of this fund is to offset the costs of operation of the Morden Area Foundation with the interest earned on the fund in accordance with a yearly budget approved by the current Board of Directors.

Health and Education Fund

Anyone may donate to this fund.  The purpose of this fund is to grant the interest earned on the fund to qualified CRA registered charities in the health and education field as per grant applications submitted or projects of partnership by the current Board of Directors.

Recreation and Sport Fund

Anyone may donate to this fund.  The purpose of this fund is to grant the interest earned on the fund to qualified CRA registered charities in the recreation and sport field as per grant applications submitted or projects of partnership by the current Board of Directors.

2014 MWS PS Winter Games Legacy Fund (now part of the Recreation and Sport Fund)

Anyone may donate to this fund.  This fund was created as a legacy with proceeds from the 2014 Morden Winkler RM of Stanley Winter Games.  Grants are made with the interest earned on this fund for the purpose of the promotion and enhancement of sport leadership and/or sport development in Morden and the RM of Stanley and not for capital purposes such as construction or renovation projects.

Clark Elder Memorial Fund

Clark Elder was an avid and natural athlete who loved baseball, hockey and most any sport. Clark died accidentally and to honour his memory and love of sports, Clark’s family and friends created this fund to assist young athletes with sport registration and training costs and/or to enhance community sports programs by contributing to the development of facilities or the purchase of non-expendable equipment

Canadian Fossil Discovery Centre Development Fund

The purpose of this fund is to support the administration and programming activities of the CFDC with the interest earned on the fund as directed by the CFDC Board.  Anyone may donate to this fund.

Power of the Purse Fund (formerly known as Women’s Giving Circle Fund)

The purpose of this fund is to support various local registered charities supporting women and children.  Anyone may donate to this fund.

Arts Stabilization Manitoba Fund

The purpose of this fund is to offset the costs of assets or professional staff development of the Pembina Hills Arts Gallery Council with the interest earned on the fund in accordance.  Anyone may donate to this fund.

Morden Corn & Apple Festival Fund

Anyone may donate to this fund.  The purpose of this fund is to offset the costs of operation of the Morden Corn & Apple Festival with the interest earned on the fund.  This fund was created by the Board of Directors of the Morden C&A Festival as a 50th annual celebratory project to assist in the continuation of the Festival for another 50 years.

Youth in Philanthropy

The purpose of this fund is a scholarship for students of the Morden Collegiate Institute who take part as youth in philanthrophy in the City of Morden.

South Central Regional Library

The purpose of this fund is to support the administration and programming activities of the Morden library as the SCRL Board so directs.  Anyone may donate to this fund.

South Central Cancer Resource Fund

The purpose of this fund is to su pport the administration and programming activities of SCCR as the SCCR Board so directs.  Anyone may donate to this fund.
